Choose the StitchArtist level for the tools you need
StitchArtist is a digitizing product within the Embrilliance Platform. Level 1 lets you draw with stitch objects and control their properties; Level 2 adds a wider set of stitch controls and SVG or selected cutting-file vector import; Level 3 expands vector, lettering, and publishing tools. The levels are paid and upgrades are available, so confirm the current store price for the level that actually covers your task.
Trame instead builds color regions from a PNG or JPEG and plans running or fill paths. It is useful for checking how a flat image simplifies on the hoop, but it does not provide StitchArtist's object-level digitizing controls. Trame's machine exports remain experimental.
Mac and Windows without a virtual machine
Embrilliance provides native Mac and Windows versions and lists machine exports including DST, PES, EXP, and XXX. That platform support is a practical distinction if a Mac user wants desktop digitizing controls. Trame works in a browser and keeps its source layers in a .trame project, while its current machine formats are limited to DST, XXX, and EXP.
Whichever tool you choose, check that the selected product level and output variant fit your machine, then validate a sew-out on the intended material.
