Privacy policy

How Trame handles local design files, browser preferences, website requests, and optional donations.

The essentials

Trame processes imported images, text, and embroidery files in your browser. The editor has no user accounts, design upload service, or cloud project storage. Your design is not sent to the publisher for processing. Trame keeps automatic recovery drafts on this device. Save a .trame file for a portable copy; browser storage is not a guaranteed backup.

Robin Guinant is the publisher and contact for privacy questions. Write to trame@foohx.com. See the legal notice for publisher and hosting details.

Files and settings on your device

Import reads the file you choose locally. Export creates a download on your device. You decide whether to share that file or put it in a cloud folder; any service you use for that has its own privacy practices.

Trame remembers your language choice in a functional cookie named trame-language for one year. It is used for language selection, not tracking. Trame stores panel widths and collapsed states in your browser’s local storage so the workspace looks familiar next time. Recovery drafts are stored separately in IndexedDB, including editable layers, settings, and original imported files. They stay in this browser and are not uploaded. Each editor session writes its own draft. Project → Recover project lets you restore or delete drafts. Saving, starting a new design, or successfully opening a project clears the current session’s draft; older drafts remain until you delete them or clear the site’s data. Storage limits, private browsing, or browser cleanup may make recovery unavailable. Preferences remain until you clear the site’s browser data; View → Reset layout restores the default layout. Your browser may also cache application files and bundled fonts. Fonts are served by Trame, not requested from Google Fonts.

Website requests and hosting

Loading a page or a font makes a normal request to our host, Vercel. Technical request data such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and time of access may be processed to deliver and protect the site. The application does not add analytics, advertising trackers, or tracking cookies.

Hosting data is handled for site operation and security, based on the legitimate interest in providing a reliable service. Retention depends on the hosting service and its configuration; this editor does not set a separate request-log retention period. Vercel operates internationally, including in the United States. Its privacy notice describes its processing and transfer safeguards.

If you contact us

Emailing us shares your address, message, and any attachments with the publisher and the email services used to deliver the conversation. We use them to answer your question or handle your request, based on our legitimate interest in responding. Keep sensitive information out of attachments unless it is necessary. Correspondence is kept as needed to resolve the matter and any related legal obligations or disputes.

Optional donations and external links

The support button opens a local dialog. Only following the donation link takes you to Buy Me a Coffee, which handles its own account and payment process under its privacy policy. Trame does not collect payment-card details. A donation may make supporter information or a message available to the publisher through that service. Donations are optional and do not change access to the editor.

Links to other tools and sources take you to external websites with their own privacy policies.

Your choices and rights

You can clear Trame’s site data in your browser and delete downloaded files yourself. We cannot retrieve or erase a project that only exists on your device. For personal data received through email or support services, contact us to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability where applicable, or to object to processing. These rights depend on the circumstances and legal requirements.

You may also contact your local data protection authority. In France, this is the CNIL. If our data practices change, this page and its review date will be updated.
